Your Google Business Profile gives you up to 750 characters to describe your business. Most owners either leave it blank or fill it with fluff. Used well, it’s a chance to answer the questions a customer has before they call — in plain, honest language that helps them choose you with confidence.
Lead with what you do and who you help
Open with the clearest possible statement of what you offer and the area you serve. A customer skimming should know in one sentence that you’re the right kind of business for them. Save the history and mission for later — the first lines do the heavy lifting.
Answer the real questions
Think about what people ask before hiring you: what you specialize in, the neighborhoods you cover, and what makes working with you easy. Weave those answers in naturally. This isn’t the place for keyword stuffing — write for a person, and the useful keywords take care of themselves.
Keep it honest and current
Don’t include phone numbers or links (Google may flag them), and never make claims you can’t back up. Review it a couple of times a year so it stays accurate as your services change. An honest, current description reads as trustworthy — which is exactly the impression you want.
